Hi Michael,
Would adding extra plate & bar armour & guns 3/4 of vehicle mass count as enough of an upgrade?
Cheers mike

Personally I consider the challenge of bar armor to always qualify as a scratch build. Nick drives me crazy with his home built bar armor creations.

I'm joining. Very likely with a Mad Max inspired car with armor and guns.

Attn: Scratch BuildersGentlemen
I am proposing a scratch builders campaign - any subject, any scale, any era, any medium. The model does not have to be totally scratch built. Only a significant portion or a single significant feature needs be scratched to qualify. Started builds allowed.
(a chance to finish some of those shelf queens!)Also if editorial management allows - models being built for other campaigns/contests would be allowed AND for those finishing three or more builds a special ribbon in addition to the primary ribbon.
Would you perhaps be interested?
Best Regards
Michael Koenig

Campaign tentatively approved. We are now twelve members interested.
The only thing that now needs to happen is for me to get over this killer flu that I have concocted and file the darn paperwork.

Hey Mike - sorry to hear about that case of the flu! Truly a bummer, and really hard to feel like building if you feel lousy! Hope your back and good to go soon!
I'm thinking of a few builds for this - I like a specific type of off road race truck - I've built these before but one heck of a fun build! And of course - some sort of an AFV - Thanks for the nice words about the bar armor! No picnic to do - but the results are nice! Next - maybe some post apocalypse tough truck? Or car? Who knows just yet....and of course, there's always some sort of recovery or construction build?
All sounds good to me! Thanks for coming up with the idea for a campaign!
Feel better!

Hi Nick,
A different Mike hear, I may need to borrow your aforementioned bar armour advice & skills idea on how to make, as never done it before.
Cheers

I do apologize folks but this flu really has me down. Had a few days of feeling better and then I got hit with it again! It makes getting the brain to shift into the "composition" mode to write the "Scratch Built" campaign application very difficult.
However working in the "manual construction" mode while sick is a whole lot easier - it is sort of like flying on auto pilot - for me the "muscle memory" required for doing construction requires much less concentration. Also you could say I recently got hit with a case of the "Lizzie Flu" in addition to whatever other flu my Doctor says I have.
Cannot explain exactly why but ever since the "Flying Boats" campaign (thank you Jonathan) I have been eyeing all those "wingy thingy's" over on eBay. Recently bought myself a 1/32nd scale Matchbox Westland Lysander as a first attempt at airplane modeling. (Have not built an aircraft model for some 50 plus years!) Now I suddenly I have started both an 1/35th Storch and now the 1/32nd Lizzie.
I thought, oh what the heck, it will be just a SMALL plane mode. WRONG! You should have seen my surprise when the postman showed up with that BIG shipping box.
No explanation, no excuse!

Matt,
Well, hmmm ...
I used the "Propose Campaign" button,
Filled all required fields and
Hit "Sibmit" button.
No idea where the proposal went from there on...
Maybe to John Pereira(Nito)?

When approved I'm in. Do figures count?
It doesn't take much to be better than nothing.
