Hi all,

Todd: really good start,i like your paint on the base and the skin looks so realistic, great work !
Aaron: i remember your fig and still like the colors you chose.
Frederick: interesting figs, good paint work !
Jesper: they look very good....but i hope to never encounter tis kind of angry women in the street !!!

And here is my entry here, previously i wanted to sculpt one but lack of time makes me choose another solution.
I'll do the one which was gave to me as a reward in the last (and only one) contest where i presented my "soviet female sniper".
I did not strated to work on it yet...
It calls "Owenna la chasseresse" ("Owenna the hunter"), sculpted by the french creator Benoit Cauchies at 54 mm scale:

Cheers

Had some fun and games. Trying to close a P3 paint pot one handed on the desk. Sent it about 8' across the room like a canonball. It took the arm and wing off the mini and dumped some paint on her which requires some clean up and fixing. Dumped a bunch of paint across the desk, Some on the carpet, some hit the furniture. Some hit the old computer monitor. A paper back novel, sent 3 pop cans tumbling one was 1/4 full. I couldn't have pulled this stunt off again if I tried.

Now I am working on fixing Zodiac (my kids now call her Sodiac because of the mishap) and I am going to do my Geisha which was the figure I originally had planned for this campaign. I have two months to finish and I think I can. There isn't that much left on Zodiac after the restoration work.

Some work done on fixing her. I started on the hair and did some armor work.

Started getting base color onto the geisha. At this stage I don't mind being a bit messy. I used Reaper paint. I find Reapers paints a bit funny. Its like they don't seem to be working and then in the morning they look solid and fine. Its going to be in how they cure.

Great to see so many nice figures.
Jesper, great details on such tiny girls...
Nico, awesome figure, I like it a lot!
Aaaaand, yes, Aaron with his Geisha I really want to see this one finished.

As for my entry: I decided to go with Esmerelda Weatherwax in a ball dress (yes, I realize it's odd... )

She looks like my mother when she's annoyed...which is always.

Interesting choice of figure. It has lots of possibilities.

More of the base colour going down. I can get away with being a little messy at this stage. A couple of places I have to touch up a bit later on.

Aaron, nice to see that your Geisha is gaining some colors!

Here's some small progress form my side: Esme as disappointed as I was able to paint her...

Wow..been a while since I have been able to work on my entry, and having a look around everyone is making some great progress!! Very cool stuff!!

Well I guess it's time to get this moving, so it can get off the bench!! I have been slacking and cleaning things up from last year and this one is next in the rotation.

I managed to start on the cloths and work some of the skin tone. I just shot some nylons a short while ago, there will be some work there with the shoes tonight I think!

Another shot with how the lighting should be...

As always, thank for stopping in and taking a peek!!

I may not be able to join in this time, but I sure hope that such a campaign will continue in 2013 with Round 2!

Hi,

Andrzej: i hope you feel better, good begining on the flesh, she looks a little bit more angry like that, does nobody invited here to dance ?
Aaron: good choice for the colors, i like this.
Frederick: good pretty group; will they take place in a vignette with the car ?
Todd: very good progress, she's taking life in very sweet way, i really like the second shot, with realistic shades.

Frederick - great colors! I really like what you're doing with these tiny figures.

Aaron - nice skintones. She looks really nice this way.

Todd - shades on skin are really good. Very realistic.

Nico - I really don't think Esme would like to be asked to dance... She is rather not a dancing type of person .

Thanks guys, skin tone was a big experiment. I almost tried a blue stone in places as she was mystical I kind of had this idea of a living statue or just scary kind of gal. My original idea was going to be skintone with a blue tinge but it became full blue.
